Outsourcing Our Clogged Arteries!
Check out this Yahoo! News article about western donut chains such as Krispie Kreme and Dunkin’ Donuts infiltrating the Asian market. One of the downsides of the explosive growth of Asian markets, especially in China, is the rising standards of living mean eating more GARBAGE! I really like this quote from Brian Parfett of Catelo Investments, the firm that originally franchised Krispi Kreme in Hong Kong:
“”We know it’s not a product you should eat every day,” said Parfitt. “It’s a treat that you should reward yourself with. It’s not a meal replacement.”
