Corporate Responsibility Means Greater Stock Market Returns

This weekend at the United Nations Global Compact Leaders Summit, three studies by Goldman Sachs, UN Global Compact, and McKinsey & Company were presented which showed that “companies that are considered leaders in implementing environmental, social and governance (ESG) policies to create sustained competitive advantage have outperformed the general stock market by 25 per cent since August 2005“.  The reports should be released in the next few days at the United Nations Global Compact website.
